Suunnittelin ja toteutin yhteensä neljä pukua Itsenäisyyspäivän Linnan juhliin 2023. Kaikissa puvuissa halusin, että puku olisi mukava päällä, helppohoitoinen, pitkäikäinen (eli myös muihin juhliin sopiva) sekä tilaajansa näköinen. Parasta oli nähdä kuinka paljon iloa puvut kantajilleen tuottivat ❤️ kiitos luottamuksesta Alviina Alametsä Ilmi Salminen Leena Kummu ja Heidi Kari.

Alviina Alametsän säkenöivän, pinkin paljetti-iltapuvun inspiraationa oli tänä vuonna ensi-iltaan tullut Barbie-elokuva, tyttöys ja tasa-arvo 💓

Heidi Kari (SDP:n Mika Karin puoliso); punainen plus- kokoinen satiini-iltapuku. Mekossa nähdään Sariannan S-helmaleikkaus, joka on suunniteltu erityisesti pluskokoiselle kantajalle. Mekkoon on käytetty 12 metriä kangasta ja mekon helmasta löytyy tasku! Heidillä nähtiinn myös Sariannan suunnittelemat korvakorut.

Leena Kummu (Aalto- yliopiston Marko Keskisen puoliso) ; musta paljetti- iltapuku silkkikukin. Puvun inspiraationa on ollut tummanpuhuva romantiikka. Jokainen 45:stä silkkikukasta on käsinommeltu mekkoon.

Ilmi Salminen (Chair of UN Women Finland); turkoosi paljetti-iltapuku. Puvun inspiraationa on ollut Hans Christian Andersenin pieni merenneito. Ruusukultainen simpukan muotoinen käsilaukku on myös Sariannan suunnittelema ja toteuttama.

Exhibition concept & curation for young designers exhibition at Hotel St George.

Creating and producing St. George Design Market, a high quality Finnish design market for Kämp Collection hotels. I created the event concept, visual identity and organized the event. The central goal was connecting young design talents with one of the most luxurious Finnish establishments and its clientele. I was also managing the planning with various stakeholders and operated as a project coordinator for a team of 16 designers. The event was a great success for all parties and will be continued in the following years.

The exhibition received a lot of positives attention and a significant number of visitors despite the pandemic and over half of the pieces showcased in the exhibition were sold to private collectors.

Window illustrations for the accessory brand AIDA Impact and up-and-coming fashion brand Saima for their pop-up at Klaus K Hotel. AIDA Impact is a jewellery brand that seeks to create sustainable and measurable social impact.

I interned at H&M in 2016 as the Print Design Assistant for childrenswear’s little girls’ team. My time at H&M was great and I got to make many delightful prints for young ladies. My tasks included creating all-over-prints, placements and artworks, licensing prints as well as actively assisting in research and development process of collections and products.

Probably the most amazing moment in a while was getting to know that Tom Cruise’s daughter Suri Cruise had worn the star dress with my print to a ball.

My first own commercial fashion collection done in collaboration with GEMMI furhouse. Collection, fashion, print and accessories design. / Freelance

The inspiration for a collaboration rose from GEMMI’s want to be able to better utilize the left-over fur pieces from their production. All the stripes and collars seen in the clothing are made from production left-overs.

In the collection I wanted to explore the idea of unisex, while keeping in mind and at the same time breaking traditional colour and textures connotations. “Koivu”-print from the capsule collection was inspired by Finnish birch tree bark is still at production at GEMMI.

Some pieces seen in the photos were also used in a dance performance by Marlon Moilanen, which explored the limits of race, sexuality and gender norms expressed through clothing and movement.

Our team travelled to and conquered Milan design week’s furniture fair young talents section Salone Satellite 2017. I was completing our team with my knowledge on colour and textile design, design business management, branding and marketing.

I created our team’s colour sceme for our fair exhibition stand and designed the “Tulitikkukukka” pattern and jacquard fabric for “Lepo” daybed. Moreover, I generated, produced and managed Studio Finna brand and created our logo, brand look, social media and client contacts.

IDBM Industry Project done in collaboration with City of Helsinki 2015-2016

Developing Customer Experience within citizen services in co-operation with the City of Helsinki. Identifying the key factors in creating an excellent customer experience and the ways to improve it. Our group did research data acquisition in Helsinki, Tallinn, London and Singapore. I was one of the Design Leads for the project and responsible for visuals, communications, planning and organizing workshops, developing customer experience and overall managing the design and visual side of the whole project.
